HOUSEKEEPING GUEST ROOM

The House Keeping Guest Rooms (a standard room & a luxury suite room) are designed to give student a true picture and feel of a 5 star deluxe hotel room. In there, students get well versed with various aspects of cleaning, maintenance, aesthetic & interior decoration. Housekeeping Laboratories consist of a Guest Room with well- designed interiors. The Mock – Housekeeping Laboratory and the Laundry equipped with washing machines, dryers, and a wash area enable students to get the right feel of the department. It reflects a standard housekeeping department in a 5 star hotel. Moreover, it also looks after the Inhouse laundry & the general maintenance & cleaning of the college.

FRONT OFFICE

Two well Simulated & Air-Conditioned Front Office Laboratories are specifically designed to replicate the actual lobby of a 5 star hotel. In the Front Office laboratories, practical are held, wherein the students are trained to take Guest check-ins, check-outs and face various mock–situations put forth by the trained lecturers (as in practical cases), thereby training them to suitably deal with all kinds of guest requests.

RESTAURANT

Two well equipped Air-Conditioned Training Restaurants : “Saleequa” & “Savour” helps to enhance style serving techniques. It operates 40 covers each and also has Training Bars to facilitate practical experience to the students. It is well equipped with silverware, glassware, tableware, gueridon trolley and other sophisticated equipment required for quality service. It operates daily during lunch hours with a theme created by the students who function as Managers, Commis, Pantry-In-Charge, Hosts / Hostesses, etc. on a rota basis. It is also a venue for small Conferences, Luncheons, Dinner meetings, Presentations and Interviews all of which are managed by the students. To cater to the increasing demand of restaurant service and to help more students acquire practical experience, we are setting up a second restaurant fully armed with sophisticated equipment necessary for quality service.

BASIC TRAINING KITCHEN

The First Year Students are introduced to the world of Culinary Art in the Basic Training Kitchen. They get familiar with the various kitchen equipment and are shown the intricate cutting methods to begin with. They then learn basic Regional, National & International cuisines. There are two BTKs which train the 1st Years Students.

QUANTITY TRAINING KITCHEN

The Quantity Training Kitchen is mainly the training ground for the 2nd year students who develop into making various Regional and National Delicacies along with a few International Cuisines. The two QTKs cater to an average of 200 students on a daily basis. Heavy-duty equipment facilitates bulk cooking including a tandoor to enable barbecue menu items.

ADVANCED TRAINING KITCHEN

At the Advanced Training Kitchens 3rd year students prepare different International Cuisines. It is mainly for Speciality cooking. 20 well equipped workstations with modern culinary equipment further facilitate every student to practice individually.

LA PATTISSERIE

This is an outlet to help and develop the students in their skill in making confectionery, which supplements any meal to raise its value. To keep pace with the increasing number of students, we have set up an additional bakery – cum – pattisserie to enable the students to develop their skills in making confectionery.

 
 

CLASSROOMS

To facilitate students with theory classes we have 8 fully equipped, airy, well lit classrooms.

AUDITORIUM

We have Auditorium with latest hi-tech gadgets & equipment. It has capacity to seat 100 people. We regularly conduct seminars, workshops, events, presentations & display educational videos in the auditorium.

IT LAB

We have IT Lab which is equipped with latest configuration based 30 computers for our students having internet connectivity facility where they can learn all basic computer knowledge through our experts. SCHMT teaches the students the Generic Software and the Hotel Management Software which is used at most of the hotels for reservation.

CAFETERIA

Being a hospitality institute every day we serve delicious & sumptuous lunch for our students in our well equipped & designed Cafeteria. Students enjoy the cool & casual ambience of dinning room with lavish lunch & also learning dinning etiquettes.
